Continuing education courses for UoI students
Started in 2015 upon an initiative of the Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning
- Eligibility: Student status (whether undergraduate or post-graduate)
- Free of charge
- Cooperation with trainers from Public authorities (University Hospital, Earthquake Safety Organisation, the Fire Service)
- So far on health and safety subjects
- New subjects will be soon introduced with the cooperation of in-house trainers.
- Total number of attendants: 733 UoI students

Online Courses
Since 2014, the University of Ioannina Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning has implemented a variety of free and paid online courses.
- Number of course titles offered: 47
- Thematics: Medicine, Economics, Business and Management, Computer Sciences, Statistics, Education Sciences, Arts, etc.
- Number of learners who successfully completed the online courses and received a Certificate: 5,484
- MOOCs Free audit learners (i.e. learners who have free access to course materials, however they don’t not earn a certificate the end of the course): 19,891
